In my opinion, B & Q & Bathstore products aren't the best quality - style over substance. I feel that your screen & bath would be out of reach for many of their customers. I would be looking at V & B and Porcelanosa as your level of market. I think that a licencing deal would be best for you as getting this manufactured and marketed is going to cost a great deal of money. Presumably it doesnt work with electric showers and that various mods would have to be made to the existing feeds and drains. These are often concealed behind tiled panels etc so it would probably be too much hassleand expense to be a retro fit so I would aim it at full bathroom refurbs.

Productwise, have you allowed for adjustment to the wall post. When the screen is fully retracted, is the 'slot' completely covered. As soon as the shower is turned on water flows from the head but the screen takes some time to lift so might there be some splashing onto the surrounding area first.

The screen works totally independently of the shower so there will be no splashing although it is written into the patent that you can turn shower on and the screen will raise 1st then when it is fully extracted the shower will turn on. I am looking for a licence deal but everyone wants to see the finished product before committing.

I for one have a shower screen that winds me up to no end. The showering just contantly soaks the floor. My solution is to get something that wont soak the floor like a shower curtain. I wouldnt get a whole new bath tub in order to have your product. Too bad your product couldnt be sold to cover all bath tubs!

All the companies I have approached state they love the idea but feel it still needs development before they would do a licensing deal.
The idea seems nice but then, what can a shower screen fetch you anyway? I suggest you approach a Venture Capitalist and persuade for some investment. Develop your idea further, and then take a shot again!

This is my first posting to you as I've only just seen your thread. Crikey, you've taken some knocks with all of the postings. Isn't it a shame when you're developing a product that you've got to keep it secret and once you do get a patent you then get the feedback that you could have done with prior to patenting it!
Well done, for persevering to obtain your patent. Anyone that does so, needs a medal in my mind.
I've just developed something and I'm just going through the process of exploring which IP route to take, so I'm a newbie but I've found it frustrating and time consuming already.
Anyway, going back to your shower screen, I feel that you need some support and guidance.
From what I have seen of the postings so far, it looks as if all of those that you approach want to see a working model. I did look at your You tube video, and whilst it clearly shows how your screen works, it doesn't show it for its final purpose i.e raising and lowering into the side of a bath. So this does need to be achieved before you can move on, as it would take some selling in its present form.
Because you already have a patent on the actual shower screen, have you considered having the bath made to go with it, to sell as a complete package? You wouldn't need to get a patent on the bath,as the bath is useless without your shower screen, so they have to be sold together. The two have to function together as well, as you're bound to be aware of.
Have you approached bath manufacturers to find out if they can produce the bath that you need?
If you're able to get a reputable bath/sanitaryware manufacturer on board, its more likely to be accepted by the actual retailers that you need to sell it.

I agree with Peter ^^ completely. I also think you need to show it in more than one bath. Even if you had a straight bath and a P shaped bath that would be a good starting point.

You also need to invest in a professional website, that current one is doing you no favours at all. An impressive website will not only make your product look higher quality, it will also increase your appeal to potential investors. It will show that you are serious too.
