Advice about insurance companies

Hello everyone. I have one new question from experts.
In UK how to find a car insurance company is genuine company. Mean I have insured with one company and company is in spain. They covering the insurance area in UK, Ireland etc. I am realy worried to find if that is genuine company or not. How to find it is registered and it is genuine. or how can i testify them.
The insurance company name is southern rock.

All insurers must be registered with the FSA and both their registration and what they are licenced to do can be checked on their website: www.fsa.gov.uk

Southern Rock however are an insurer in the UK and underwrite ECarInsurance
