We all complain at bad service - but I have just been on the receiving end of good service - and so, credit where credit is due, would like to advise you of Norton's excellent performance in the last 15 minutes.

I had a problem with my anti-spam filter - logged on to their 'chat' service, got a knowledgable analyst within seconds, and 10 minutes later it is fixed.

one very happy customer here - and a wholehearted recommendation for Norton anti-virus and anti-spam.

Glad you had a good experience with them - things must have improved with Norton in the past couple of years. The last time I used them when I tried to install one of their packages and my computer went WILD it ended up costing me about £30 for technical help.

If they have improved their customer service, all to the good, and I wish other large companies would follow suit.

I like the fact that you wanted to share that with us here. Everyone likes to receive praise for a job well done.

Did the same not so long ago, with a white van man company driver, only a young chap, but his driving was absolutely spot on. Kept his distance at all times, you could see he was driving smoothly, signaled properly, was courteous to other pedestrians and road users, he just really stood out. So gave the company a ring to tell them and they were chuffed to bits to hear that kind of praise for one of their drivers, as most calls obviously are complaints about van drivers on the road.

It's good to give praise where praise is due.

Lovely to hear good news and satisfied customers. Want to tell you about the best customer service I have ever had - quite amazing, ok a few years back now but....long story short, out to the pub in our land rover - drive back along bridleway (I am not driving - boyfriend is) bollard in the way. Famous last words 'You can't get these things stuck, what it was built for etc' he drives around the bollard - or, he didn't. It explains the state I was in as I tried to push this vehicle and became literally covered in mud before abandoning it and teetering the 2 miles home along rutted track.
The garage - removed the vehicle along with friendly local farmer, and sent me on a days off road driving course complete with quad biking and clay pigeon shooting, providing me with a swish new courtesy vehicle in which to arrive. Swiftly fixed (burned out clutch) they drove mine to me and collected the swish one (which I didn't want to give back obviously) never a bill in sight. Can I say the name of the garage? I am in no way connected or anything?
Probably suffice to say it was the Land Rover garage near Coniston.
Wonderful people, vehicles and customer service.

Well, I'm going to jump on the wagon and praise a company I used recently, if I may!

http://www.dnavitamins.co.uk/

I used this company to send vitamins from Uk to France and they arrived within days and service was fantastic. I had every intention of emailing them and informing them how satisfied I was.............but hey I couldn't find an email address for them - what a shame!

So, the next best thing is on here :)

Maybe a thread could be started for best business of the week. Always prefer to use business through recommendation - don't you ?

Isn't it weird that every company in the world will tell you that they pride themselves in their customer service and yet we are surprised when we get it done right .........

It's actually extreemly difficult and very expensive to pull off.

(If you hadn't got that individual when you called it might have been a completely different story)

But, and I think this is the killer, most managers think that CS is both boring and a cost to be minimised. There are few companies with a CS Director on the Board for example and most think they can outsource it; usually to India.

Congratulations Stephen strange that you had such good service from Norton.I think it may be worth contacting The guinness book of records

Norton is generaly considered one of the biggest pieces of crap anti virus software on the planet.

Its also one of the more expensive ,very popular, but I think I am right in saying no pro would touch it.:D
