Reciprocal links can be a real pain to get when it comes to increasing your Google Page Rank (only do these if you are desperate as you may need lots and lots). The suggestions made on this forum are all excellent, just make sure you have good, quality content with good keywords on your site as this can help drive your site up the rankings.

Hi guys, I'm new here, just thought I'd add some things to the list, one of which is to make sure your web designer codes using semantic xHTML. Most probably will do, but creating a good quality site is always a good base to begin your website marketing, those good foundations will at least give your site every chance in the long run.

Also if you are an iPhone user, you can use Audioboo to create mini podcasts. This could be useful to supplement an existing blog. You could also use your webcam to record video blogs and messages, maybe show your customers a bit of your business they don't normally see?

Lastly and most importantly, don't underestimate the possibilities a good copywriter can bring to web strategy. I sometimes find myself writing copy for clients, and OK I have a GCSE in English and can write a bit(I think ), there's no substitute for professionally written content.
