I'm currently in the process of launching a new brand selling products worldwide via my own website. My company is Limited in UK and the goods are manufactured in China. From a VAT point of view would i be better shipping the goods from China to a warehouse in USA and shipping worldwide to customers from there? I would then not pay any VAT on sales to customers from UK and Europe would i?

If you are selling into the EU, you will need to read HMRC Notice 725, and check the Distance Selling rules. Depending on your turnover, you may find you need to register for VAT in other Member States.
An hour's discussion with your Accountant about cross border VAT is essential!
