Consumer Rights - 6 years to complain.

There's a summary regarding the Consumer Rights Law here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/Global/Public/Campaigns/cra/ConsumerRightsSummary-GoodsF2F.pdf Is there an expected lifetime for this item? Can this be proven? If not, I suspect you can tell him to sod off. Alvaro

    Free of Vodafone at last!!!!

My girlfriend last year spent 12 months fighting a mis-sold tablet contract with Vodafone, she was almost in tears at one point, so I can sympathise with you there. Their customer service really is on another level of useless.

    Freelancer withholding confidential reports

Have you thought about just paying her outstanding invoices a few days earlier than normal? It would save you all matter of hassle, assuming you want the current outstanding work to be returned in a timely manner. Then don't bother going to her for future work.

    Tactfully remove/relegate another director?

Hi Zephyr, I have just finished going through almost exactly what you've described - friend and I started the firm four years ago, I sacrificed two years worth of my own time and potential salary to get a lot of technology developed, all in the meanwhile my business partner kept his full-time...

Programmer 'stole' money and won't give it back

Not to sound like a broken record or anything, but again I think you're taking this a bit out of proportion, and are possibly not thinking through the costs involved in the pursuits of such a claim through legal claims, especially through overseas channels. Do you think that legally pursuing...

Programmer 'stole' money and won't give it back

It seems you're taking this very personally, instead of treating it as a business problem - £190 doesn't seem to warrant this amount of pursuit, if after a year of trying you've got no further. If he is based abroad, then there's nothing you can do.

Is getting into business because you want to be rich wrong?

I'd agree with Ian, I'm much in the same position where I lost the passion for doing what I do a fairly long time ago, but I am good at it, so I focus those skills to try and reach an end goal or dream: Have sufficient return on investment so have to invest minimum time in making money and spend...

    UKMail

Just to follow on from my last post, this morning I called them at 8am to try and confirm if the package was out for delivery or waiting at the depot - their web site said it would be delivered between 9:17 and 10:17, but showed nothing in the history of "out for delivery" for today. The call...

Interestingly, I had a missed delivery from them today (monitor), I went onto their web site, entered the card reference number, and selected pick up from depot tomorrow. A minute later I had a text telling me they would attempt to deliver again tomorrow, when I'm again not going to be in :(...

    Cyclists

I think you're the forum warrior here Simon ;) I'm a cyclist myself, I race at amateur level in closed circuits, open road races and mountain bike races. I commute 33 miles each day from the suburbs into Central London. I own a car, I drive long distances to lots of places on a regular basis. I...
