Scott.. although I don't disagree with your thoughts on Magento.. there's nothing wrong with wp-ecommerce. I have it in use with one of my stores flawlessly and without all the overhead that a fully fledged store app produces. Those 'issues' are quite old btw..
Call me old fashioned but I still like CRE Loaded. Next option would be prestashop but I hate the fact you have to pay for every add-on.
You might want to take a look at the quantity of inventory you are planning to sell - and if its just a handful go for something much lighter like...
HI Vacman
Neither Google or Yahoo reports all the links. If you want to know that they have done their job - then ask for a report - and check they(the links) exist. Its the only way to be sure.
The important point is that if you have bought a backlink packet that you have varied the...
I don't think its hard to compete and there is a great market opportunity for the small stores...there are 2 things that are important.
1) Don't decide you are going to sell "this thing"... work the other way instead. ie find out what the market wants (ie is searching for) and then build a...
Agree firstly with PMD - make sure you are on every single wedding directory there is.
Secondly - is your site going to become the main source of leads. If so - then yes have a good look at it from a "selling perspective" and speak to some SEOs ... in fact.. I would only speak to the ones...
ah.. you mean dropshippers.
by efulfiment I was talking about literally that - so the niche is irrelevant. its just size and weight that matters to them - but you still have to buy the stock.
So if you haven't got supplier sources... excuse me asking but - have you checked there is a market...

Have you identified the buying traffic? - If you look at the Google keyword tool - and looked at what people are looking for - then worked out where your site is positioned for those words?
Just want to know - what don't you use an efulfilment provider - there are tons of them around. And depending on your product - the saving in postage could almost cover your storage?
John - little tip for you...
It looks like your primary keyword is "discounted designer perfumes" according to your title. I suggest putting that at the front of your title, and remove your site name (as its at the end anyway)
That will gain you a few extra places alone.
no not at the moment.
if you type in just the domain ie http://domain.com it doesn't redirect to http://www.domain.com
You need to put this at the end of you .htaccess file:
# Canonical redirect to www
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST}...
Looks great. Just so you know from a SEO point of view you need to setup your canonical redirect. ie. when you type in aquariumplantfood.co.uk it should redirect to www.aquariumplantfood.co.uk
If you need any other advice on SEO for your site PM me.

You have to view them as 2 completely seperate channels. By Google shopping I assume you mean merchant center. Its a no brainer getting your products listed... but they do perform better the more your natural SEO improves.
So if you rank on page 1 you will get more traffic to...
I cannot say enough about eUKhost. I have no affiliation other than I know what I'm talking about because I used to manage datacenters for a living, but for low cost hosting I use this company.
They host in a Tier4 datacentre... (which is rare) - and everytime I need support - I go via their...
