I have a problem getting a client based in Armenia to pay an outstanding debt that, despite regular reminders, remains unpaid. The sum involved and quality of the work is not in dispute and the debt is more than £10K. The work we have undertaken involves the facilitation of their product access...
We started to receive spurious correspondence from a company addressed to the Vietnamese outfit’s limited company name and then today on official letter from companies house also addressed to the limited company. On checking the register it’s clear this limited company has used our address. We...

How do I go about getting this removed?
Many thanks
I’ve been requested to add a Force Majeure clause to our standard consultancy’s terms and conditions. I’ve looked at a few online and they are way too complex and lengthy for our purposes as ours is a micro business.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.
Many thanks
Use of data under GDPR is included in our business terms and conditions. Since leaving the EU the GOV.UK website has information on changes and I need to reflect this in our t&c. Previously we referred to the Data Protection Act 2018 - the GOV.UK site says GDPR has been retained in UK law & will...

I want to remove myself as company secretary as I’m due to retire soon.
Can I unilaterally remove myself...

For some time we have operated a sterling account here in the UK and a Euro account based in the Euro zone happily using our UK address. But now the Euro-based bank is to close the account because it no longer provides this service for a UK-based company...
We use an Excel 2010 spreadsheet for all our accounts. It has several tabs which cover e.g. claims, transactions on a deposit account, etc. which are linked to the *main page* reflecting all our current account bank transactions.

I'm preparing to start the MTD returns for VAT and I was looking for bridging software to link up my Excel spreadsheets to the VAT system.
I've started a free trial with Free Agent but it looks like it expects to take over everything like expenses and invoicing - this is not what we want as...
we run a small consultancy that advises businesses in the UK and EU countries (and elsewhere) - we don’t supply any physical goods - it’s all done in emails, telephone calls etc.
Do we need to apply for an EORI number?
Thanks
Sorry if this is already covered....
We run a micro limited company and are VAT registered. I received a letter a few days back that all VAT returns after 1st April need to be submitted digitally. I thought this is what we were doing anyway...

Thanks for the replies - a few years back we shortened the accounting period for admin reasons - would it be possible to us to extend this current period which expires in a couple of months?
Would this cause recriminations from the tax office?
Thanks, George
Hi All,
How easy is it to change to accounting period (AP) of our limited company to another date.
The reason for this is that the AP end is too close to the end of the stakeholder pension input period (PIP).
Thanks,
George
