We started to receive spurious correspondence from a company addressed to the Vietnamese outfit’s limited company name and then today on official letter from companies house also addressed to the limited company. On checking the register it’s clear this limited company has used our address. We are planning to contact companies house directly this morning to see what can be done but who are they going to believe?

I would much suspect a UK company over a newly formed Vietnamese company.

Having been through this process I can confirm that Companies House did not believe me when I informed them that a company had been fraudulently registered at my residential address. It took six months before they removed my address from the register (although it was still on the incorporation documents). I had to send proof that I lived at the address, whilst the company itself had to prove nothing. It only got changed because the company didn't reply to the communication that Companies House sent, I dread to think how much longer I would have had to wait if they had responded!
