We use an Excel 2010 spreadsheet for all our accounts. It has several tabs which cover e.g. claims, transactions on a deposit account, etc. which are linked to the *main page* reflecting all our current account bank transactions.
Our VAT returns are on a 3-monthly basis. Therefore in the *main page* of the Excel spreadsheet it has entries for calculating VAT including the boxes. We intend to use the Excel Add-in VitalTax as MTD Bridging Software – we are aware this only works with later versions of Excel so for the MTD VAT return we intend to use the Excel online version. Is this going to be OK?
Do I need to create new tabs for each new VAT return period which has the 9 sections of the VAT return which takes the values from the *main page* transactions so that the bridging software can use it?
