I have a list of potential partners who we could collaborate to mutually benefit one anothers business by either driving sales, brand awareness, or some other type of benefit. I’ve put them into priority order and created profiles for them but I’m unsure who to (1) develop a partnership programmePartnerships to do what?
The simplest way is to seek out another business and suggest a partnership.
Thanks Paul. You’re absolutely right. Thats what I’ve been struggling to define. I have investigated the different types/categories of partnerships. What I’m seeking is closest to a product or affiliate or referral partnership. What is your definition of a partnership?
This term is used for everything from 'I have an idea, but no money' to 'you do all of the work and I get money'. It doesn't often mean 'we will both bring value to the table and share the profits'.
Thanks Mark. That’s helpful! You’re absolutely right, simple is best. I’ll list the benefits and communicate them accordingly.Forgetting the nasty sales manual speak- why, specifically, will your target partner benefit from this arrangement?
That will provide the answer to your question
Then that's what you are looking for.affiliate or referral
I know a man who specialises in helping facilitate and set them up if you want info on himHello?
Does anyone have tips on setting up partnership programmes and how to go about proposing partnerships to established businesses where there is a synergy and mutual benefit?
The guy i was thinking of - looks at what you are doing and makes introductions to complementary businesses with the idea you both get something out of it. He draws up the agreements etc when they need doingPartnerships can be what you want. From a gentleman's agreement fo push business to each other or a bit more formal with a commercial agreement, that would detail set obligations.
