Each month we are seeing lots of new models from different mobile companies all over the world and lots of people have planned to buy a particular model way before it comes in the market. Are you also one of these guys? if yes, what will be your next mobile phone, please share.

I too will be updating my iPhone. I think they are one of the best phones for business you can buy.

If I was buying one tomorrow I'd choose the Samsung Galaxy S6. It's an awesome phone, although it would be even better if it had some level of water resistance.

I've been a Note user since the original Samsung Galaxy Note, so far skipping the minor versions (Note 2 and Note 4), so will likely get the Note 5 which I'm expecting will be very impressive, and hopefully come in an Edge version.

All rumours indicate the Note 5 will retain the removal battery - making it the power user phone of choice now that the S6 is more consumer oriented.

If you don't mind the size (I find it an advantage personally - so much screen real estate), it's arguably the best power/productivity phone available. The s-pen is genuinely useful and makes it completely unique. For me I can't really go back to a different phone which doesn't offer what the Note does.

I like stock Android, I will probably go for Nexus 6 or the latest Nexus release. However, I also maintain an iOS phone as well. So may get iPhone 6 Plus too.

Always was a Blackberry fan until I moved to the Z10. It was terrible and at that point moved over to iPhone and haven't changed since. I've a 5s as personal phone and recently got a 6 plus as my work one.
The 6 plus is considerably bigger than the 5s but in my opinion, feels a lot more robust. That being said, I am yet to drop it so no idea if the glass is any better.
Definitely recommend the 6 plus though. Much better for emails and we've a app for our product that displays extremely well on the larger screen.
I was entertaining moving my personal phone over to OnePlus One (billed as the 'flagship' killer) but never got round to it. My brother is a bit of a tech 'geek' and loves it and from what I can see, it is a high spec handset and a lower end price.

Since my Nexus 4 is still happily plodding along and still runs the latest version of Android (5.1 currently) I doubt I'll upgrade any time soon. If an Android version is released that it can't upgrade to then I'll consider getting the next Nexus phone.

I'd never buy a non-Nexus phone. I want the latest version of Android on my phone and people like Samsung and HTC are rubbish at upgrading the version of Android that comes with their phones.

I'm going anti-latest shiny new model. I have a humble iphone 5 and before that had a nexus 4. To be honest I don't care anymore, I only call and text and the occassional google maps so don't need the latest and greatest and not even bothered if its ios or android.

My two year contract with Vodafone has just expired. I did look at upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy 6 but Vodafone want £49 per month on a two year contract and as my Galaxy 3 is still working perfectly I have taken out a one year Sim only plan at £8.50 per month which will save me £486 by the end of the twelve month contract and I will then review what is available and at what cost

What's the difference between the S6 and the S5? And I don't care if there is a 0.01% composite material difference making it extra strong (or some equally stupid reason to add an extra £150 to the price).

Don't fall for the Apple hype. Had a 5S for a couple of weeks, worse phone I have ever had. Great for bells and whistles. Basic phone capability, bluetooth and alarm appalling. Would consider upgrading to a 3310 except for the lack of Bluetooth... ( yes it is really that bad..)

Better camera, better display, better performance, quick charging and wireless charging, plus many other things too numerous to mention.

Am I right in thinking the alarm still doesn't work if you turn off the phone?

I have been intrigued by a budget range of Android phones from the UK manufacture Kazam. Has anyone heard of them?

They do a phone for £69 which is dual SIM. It looks good but I've read mixed reviews.

If I had the money . A Samsung S6 would be a good bet. Ever since Nokia left the mobile market I feel that Samsung has the most durable phone around.

Must be one of those dozens of phones from China. Chinese android phones are really invading the market now.

Nokia 3310. Robust, battery lasts, makes phone calls, sends text messages. Win win all round.
Not like all this smart phone garbage which is intermittent and unusable most of the time.

Well said from zigojacko, This Nokia 3310 is really amazing when it comes to toughness, quality and time tested as well as the most important thing is you can make phone calls and send text messages (that's the main job of mobile phone) Like those good old days. :D

I'll be sticking with my iphone. It does everything I need, and it doesn't cost a fortune to run. I'll reward myself next year with the iphone 7 or 8

Can say Windows phone are well worth it, with the Microsoft Lumia 640 being really cheap and incredibly good for the price (brother has 640) think he payed £80 for the phone and got a Sim only contract. The only downside is the app support although they have got a lot better they still aren't quite there yet. Overall it does everything you want from a mobile Phone while looking good.

If I didn't already have the Nokia Lumia 930 I would have gone for the Microsoft lumia 640 over an iPhone :)

Maybe an ASUS, whatever it's called, Zenphone or something. I don't know, maybe I've just come to rely on them. Had two laptops by ASUS, a copule of motherboards, a graphics card and none of those things failed or disappointed. Ever.

Not sure about ASUS Phones, never had one but as far as computer components go they are my "Go to" brand, if not ASUS I go for MSI, depending on what colour scheme I'm going for :)

A friend of mine who runs a pc service says MSI isn't as good as Gigabyte though, in terms of reliability and price to performance. But MSI componets definitely look best :) And Gigabyte recently released a smartphone, am I right? Is it any good?

It is all down to personal preference, from my experience most people prefer MSI, ASUS and EVGA over Gigabyte and other brands.

Although I don't deny that Gigabyte is an excellent choice and sometimes the better choice.

quite interesting the responses, I sell mobiles for a living and a lot of it is branding budget, ie, iphone, Samsung etc, I still use iphone 4, my clients always comment, I advsie it does everything it needs to do, also liked the 3310, im so tempted to back to old school phones, like the 6310, brilliant batt life, with good reception, admittedly you cant have loads of texts but they work

6310 is absolutely legendary. Personally I had a 6020 and it lived up to its name. My LG is getting slow again and I don't feel like restoring it to factory settings. Maybe I too will go back to olschool :)

Mobile phones aren't about their ability to phone and text anymore, unfortunately its become more of a fashion statement. And iPhones are typically at the top these days.

I totally agree, I dealt with a client last week who owns in a metal polishing company with dust flying everywhere and he stated he wants a iphon6, he currently has a Huawei handset which has been perfectly fine for him so I said you have two options, iphone 6 @£45 per month for 29 months, or I will do a handset Nokia 735 @ £30 per month for 20 months, his response, the iphone looks nice, then he asks why I don't upgrade myself to iphone 6, I have the iphone 4, I let him know my views and his like yes, that makes sense I will have the Nokia :),

Personally I would have gone for a Microsoft 640 over the Nokia 735 :)

I also feel the iPhone 6 is a waste of money, I do agree that it looks nice but its just a pointless expense.

If I could go back and had a choice between my Nokia 930 and a Microsoft 640 I would have picked the Microsoft 640. Part of the reason I got my 930 at the time was because of the 20mp camera (I like taking photos and don't want to carry my Canon around with me all the time.)
