Hi,i think it depends on which field.some products really have competitive prices and superior quality in China .We specialized in Home Linen,to be frank,you know nowdays the labor cost in China goes higher and higher,so maybe our price may lose its advantage.Say a bath towel,it's usd 4.15 in China,while it can be usd 3.15 in Pakistan.of course ,the former has high quality than the latter.So it's exactly your choice to buy from which country.Another example ,textile buyer prefer to buy fabric from China and garment from Bangladesh,as the labor cost in Bangladesh is lower then China.but as some tech issues in fabric,such as the color fastness,the tensile strength and etc.they prefer to buy from China,because it can't be guaranteed in Bangladesh.

that's depends what clients you can get in UK, you can find almost everything in China. Once you have clients or potential clients, just find some chinese factories and compare the price see if you can get profits.

Lots of you guys told me Chinese stuff are cheap and crap when i were in UK .
But i aways told them, you looked around, almost everything are made in China, some are good, some not good enough. It's depend on what money you paid,and quality of your suppiler.

Generally speaking, the products in China has been exported to world-wide with good quality and competitive price. what is important is that you must select a trustful supplier or partner. he/she will looking for suitable factory, discuss price, prepare samples, monitor container loading, prepare documents etc for you.

Cheap price is much competitive and much attractive, but remember any merchant will not provide you without benefit.

Cheap price: factory will change the material of the products and you know the material is not good enough. Set an example for you: I worked for a most 1year in the furniture factory.
Different material(such as pine, poplar, kili/paulownia...and so on ) decide the quality and the price of the furniature. Pine is much expensive than poplar and kili/paulownia and also in quality. If you want cheap price, factory will quote you price of the kili/paulownia or poplar. In the quality, kili/paulownia and poplar include several degree. Degree A, B, or C.

1. In quality: PINE > KILI/PAULOWNIA. In price: PINE > KILI/PAULOWNIA.
2. KILI/PAULOWNIA include degree A, B and C.
3. A > B > C.

If you strickly request factory quote you much competitive and the lowest price, how could you know the quality of the material?

So, mostly price really decide quality of the cargo.
