social media is very good at driving traffic to a site, so are forums etc. It is however the quality of the trafic that will be in question.

PPC is the cleanest way to get quality traffic.

There's no point in attracting 5,000 hits per day to your site if the traffic is not target or relevant traffic.

Social media can help but I wouldn't expect more than a couple of hits a day if potential visitirs don't know who you are.

It's a pointless and almost unusable site with virtually nothing useful for the visitor. Nobody in their right mind is going to visit a site that charges $4 for an article on mange in dogs!

You might be able to get that many by using stumbleupon.

However, as OWG said, the quality of the traffic is important.

Maybe a better question than "How do I get 50 more visitors per day?" would be "How do I make 1 more sale per day?".

why don't you add a section of articles about one subject - write write and write some more, but make it quality not crap so your readers actually haven't something decent to read / buy.

However, saying that am not confident whatsoever you'll find a decent writer who will take less than $4 to write pieces for you!!

Social networking websites, like facebook and twitter can bring you in traffic to your website, but unless you have a constantly growing list of followers/friends, you'll be getting the same traffic, which isn't much good, combined with the fact that most of the traffic you'll get from Twitter will just bounce, can't comment on Facebook.

You could try forum posting to get some more traffic, I'm assuming you want 50 unique visitors? My advice would be to go with SEO, that way you have a constant stream of traffic, if you don't work 1 day, you'll still get traffic.

Have a look at ppc, target your niche and examine conversion rates closely, I would be dubious about traffic from social networking site the ROI timewise would be much better spent on adwords or seo.

Can I ask why? What is 50 new visits going to give you? You can't pay your bills with clicks.

Twitter and Facebook could be a revelation for actually engaging with your target market, but if you are conversing with people on those sites you may not want to then send tthem to your website to meet a goal but then risk losing the conversation.

Apart from the fact there are almost no articles on the site, the ones you do have I can get for free elsewhere.

Really? How?

None of our staff will accept the findings of a Google Analytics report as salary. Nor are clicks a currency accepted in any of the shops I visit.

PPC gets you website visitors, that's all. And they don't come with a guarantee of anything, let alone sales and cash.

My colleague Chris spoke to a client spending £1000 a month on PPC and getting loads of traffic as a result. As an experiment he stopped it and sales didn't go down that significantly. And he added £1000 a month to his bottom line.

When are people going to see that anonymous website visitors count for nothing on their own. It's sales that matter and PPC doesn't guarantee that.

Visitor quality is very, very important.

Let me give you an analogy. If you were a 30yo male in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and you were looking for a girlfriend, what would you rather have:

(a) 50,000 randomly selected people from all over the world seeing your dating profile?

(b) Or 50 25-35yo single women from Tyneside seeing it?

Even though (a) gives you 1000 times more traffic, you're much more likely to find a girlfriend from (b).

(These are wild guesses, but (b) is so superior, it doesn't matter.)

So, approx 999/1000 of the people in (a) live too far away.

That leaves us with

(a) 50

(b) 50

Throw out the guys from (a) and you have

(a) 25

(b) 50

Throw out those under 20 and over 40, and it's roughly

(a) 12.5

(b) 50

Throw out those that are married, and it's probably something like

(b) 50

You may well be right. I haven't used it for a couple of years, so my experience of it is out of date.

Please do use bit of business sense Robetwhite. It costs £100,s if not £1,000s to implement an effective SEO strategy and for what. To earn £3 quid a day if he is lucky. As another member pointed out anyone can get the same info from other sites free.
