Hey UK Bus Buddies!

It's been a while but that's a story for another day....

Ok so Google Buzz launched yesterday - those of you with a gmail account may have noticed it.

I've joined and followed a few but not posted anything yet - my first thoughts are that it is a cross between facebook and twitter, and actually looks quite complicated on the face of it. Bit of a pain in the bum trying to find out more about the people you would like to follow, but hey nothing is perfect from the outset?! I think it may well be worth looking into and watching how it goes.

The most interesting thing about Google Buzz is that content will be indexed immediately, according to the press conference and
SEO Roundtable and results will be available in real time..... so is it worth a punt?

I think Google Buzz is here to stay and it will be able to give Twitter a good run for money, but the only drawback it has is that Google has debarred its crawler from crawling the posted threads, I have checked this from Google's robots.txt file which is certainly heart rendering for people like us but apart from this, everything seems is in Good condition. I hope it will do better in coming days.

The first thing I did with Buzz was find the little link right at the bottom of the page to turn the bl**dy thing off.

Don't ram your latest idea down my throat. Opt out is just plain rude (and arrogant).

The big flaw everyone will discover with Buzz is that it's limited to those with gmail accounts. And Google has a very small fraction of the free email market. MS and Y! beat them to it a long time ago. It will turn out to be as successful as Wave and Froogle. Anyone remember those?

Lol very true thanks for your input. There have also been the privacy options flaws which Google have now made changes for.

All i have seemed to do so far is trawl through lots of superifical drivel, a bit like Twitter really, but with one main difference - other peoples drivel is in the comments underneath the original drivel. I've also gained ten followers without even posting anything.

I am gonna stick my neck out and say sorry Google but Buzz is two years too late....:D

I'm assuming the zz is an abbreviation for Zzzzzzzzz (snore grunt) zzzz.

What's the point is another social media twittering, facepalming, information recycling garbage machine.

All I see is Google jumping on the badwagon. There isn't a market need for this product and it's rerally just going to filled with the drivel forund on all the other socuial media networks. Granted there will be some nuggets in their but they are more likely to get lost in the lol, omg, meh type comments.

So is it worth a punt? The answer is no. It has no SEO value (except for the fleeting fraction of a second the message appears) and is going to be just as unsuccessful as the twitter integratuion turned out to be.
