New sponsor joins Barclays Bank and Yorkshire Forward in support of unique enterprise event.
The National Federation of Enterprise Agencies (NFEA) is pleased to announce that BusinessZone.co.uk and UK Business Forums are sponsoring the 2008 NFEA Annual Conference in York - a highly regarded event for key decision makers and influencers within the NFEA network of enterprise agencies and in the wider enterprise sector.
BusinessZone.co.uk and UK Business Forums join 2008 NFEA Conference headline sponsor Barclays Bank which is supporting the event again this year as part of its continued commitment to NFEA and individual agencies within the wider business support arena. Regional Development Agency Yorkshire Forward is also supporting the event as it sees the conference as an opportunity to share best practice business support principles with the UK wide delegation.
With a dedicated theme - Dimensions of Enterprise Support - the 2008 NFEA Conference has been designed to highlight the diversity of enterprise support activities and approaches undertaken within the sector and examine how enterprise support may need to evolve in the future to meet business support requirements and regulation. Over 150 delegates are due to attend this year's residential event at the Royal York Hotel in York, from 9 - 11 September.
Dan Martin, editor of BusinessZone.co.uk and administrator of UK Business Forums, says: "Like NFEA, we are committed to the development and sustainability of small businesses so we are delighted to be the media partners of the 2008 Annual Conference, a hugely important event for the SME community.
"While the likes of Dragons' Den have made starting a business more popular than ever before, it is vital that entrepreneurs receive sufficient levels of support to ensure that today's SMEs become the successful big businesses of tomorrow.
"The conference is the perfect place for support professionals to discuss the latest best practice methods and given that BusinessZone.co.uk and UK Business Forums represent one of the biggest small businesses communities in the UK, we will make sure that the voice of the entrepreneur is heard."
As part of its involvement, BusinessZone.co.uk and UK Business Forums will be sponsoring the 'Defining Enterprise Support Dimensions' presentation, looking at some of the key dimensions of the enterprise economy and NFEA members' distinctive contribution. Key findings from UK Business Forums, as to what entrepreneurs do want in the way of enterprise support, will be included during the presentation.
BusinessZone.co.uk and UK Business Forums will also be involved in the interactive 'Enabling Enterprise' session - looking at how the enterprise sector will really make a difference to society, employment, education and the economy.
Dan Martin, editor of BusinessZone.co.uk and administrator of UK Business Forums, will be leading a debate during the Enabling Enterprise session, asking if we are we doing all we can between us to get national, regional and local government to understand/fund the support and training needs of start ups, self employed and micro business owners.
NFEA Chief Executive George Derbyshire said: "BusinessZone.co.uk and UK Business Forums have built up an enviable reputation as the sites to go to for small business news, and views from the small business community itself. I am delighted that they are participating in the NFEA Conference this year - it's important for those of us who provide business support to keep in touch with our market."
