Just been speaking to someone, and he has said since he paid for a company to create a template and install it, his sales have dropped from 25+ a day to almost 0. I assume you just replace the html, ebay have said miss use of css and java will be seen as site interference. Is this effect likely to be ebay not happy, would modifying a store effect ranking, or ebay seo??

Alarm bells should be ringing - assuming visit rates have not declined, this would indicate that the new template has some issue affecting purchase/checkout - may not be apparent on all browsers, if it works ok in IE then check Firefox, Chrome and Safari at the minimum. Of course, it might just be that the new template doesn't convert as well as the old one, "progression" is open to intepretation sometimes. Post the URL, i'm sure some of the developers here will be able to identify any core issues.

I've been using SagePay for 2 years now and think they're brilliant. Barring the upgrade hiccup last year, the processes are very smooth and support it fantastic. Othe payment providers are always approaching me for business, but I very much doubt they can offer the level of reliability and service SagePay do.

EDIT: Gah sorry, wrong thread.

A good eBay store design will increase (not decrease) your sales. Many claim by up to 30%, so far on average we are seeing 22%.

There could be other coincidental factors that have happened at the same time, you need to consider all factors.

If you pm me the store ID I will be happy to take a look over it for you.
