If you look at the following search http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&rlz=1G1FUJDCENUK322&q=boiler+repair+newcastle&btnG=Search
You will see that my site is number 4 and my blog post number 5
Also if you look at this search http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=e...&q=boiler+service+newcastle&btnG=Search&meta=
You will see i hav a blog post at number 8 which i deleted ages ago when i was playing around with wordpress.
And finally this one http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=e...iler+installation+newcastle&btnG=Search&meta=
My blog post is number 3 and my site number 4(the post has been accidently deleted by a third party).
My point is this: My site pages have been optimised for the searches above, they have links, relative content etc.
My blog post have simply been created to offer advice and maybe drive some traffic to my main site. Apart from the content (which isnt nearly as key word rich as my site) i suppose its the tags thats getting picked up.
Now if someone types in "boiler installation newcastle" there more than likely after somebody to install there boiler than information on the best type of boiler etc.
Couldnt i just make the blog posts like adverts and then direct them to the main site. This would also make them easier to optimise for the search engine.
If somebody is looking for a plumber they dont care if its a blog or a website as long as its got the correct info and a contact number, ech post could have PLEASE VISIT OUR MAIN SITE FOR FURTHER INFO for example at the bottom. making them more like lots of mini adverts than blog posts.
Any feedback?
