Hey Folks.

I'm had no luck with the last couple of fulfilment companies we've worked with. So on the hunt for a great one, and Zendbox keeps popping up - has anybody here used them, and if so would you say they're as good as they appear to be?

Ta v much!! :D

Thank you all. Current fulfilment service just keeps making mistakes...leaving is the only thing to do.
That is a shame. Can you find out why and if it is an issue you can solve? That would be much quicker and cost effective that trying again with a different company. Do you have an account manager you can speak to? Is the stock adequately identifiable and corresponds with the web orders? It does take a while for employees to get acquainted with stock. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I would say that mistakes happen with any fulfilment, even Amazon FBA. The important thing is less about how often things go wrong, but what they do when things inevitably go wrong.

If it's handled properly, it can be an opportunity to gain brownie points with the customer. This applies whether you're using fulfilment or not, but a good fulfilment company can make this much easier for you.

Have you spoken to them? Is the management aware of the problems? Do you know why mistakes are being made?

In your OP you say you have worked with 'a couple of fulfilment companies'

Are you working closely enough with these companies, and being flexible with the information you are setting up with them and supplying with them?

In the past couple of years I have unravelled a couple of supply chain issues where the fault has been with the client, and not with the fulfilment company at all: Installing a robust and traceable information flow has solved the problems.
These were young businesses, where Owners had all the information in their heads, and made the mistake of expecting the fulfilment to be likewise and to understand variable verbal and written instructions.

Suggest you step back and look at your company and how it relates to your fulfilment partners and try to work with them to work out how to stem the flow of errors rather than keep jumping ship.

    Hi,

We are seeing segregation in our sector. Not all fulfilment companies are created equal. Warehousing space is finite and processing power is down to numbers of staff, automation processes as well as I.T infrastructure.

We are seeing a lot of enquiries from potential clients that are finding it hard to get hold of anyone with their 3PL suppliers, so I put in a Client Service Team and tried to make them bomb-proof.

But no supplier is perfect and we certainly make mistakes, but communication and swift fixing to all problems is key so you can manage your consumer's expectations. We're all after those 5 star reviews.

Oh yes? And what are you agreeing with?
Not sure they even know. Profile says they are from 'united state' (sic) but their IP is the Punjab and the image isn't them (unless they suffer from alzheimer's which is the topic of the site from which they took the image).

    Hi,

The experience brands have with the same 3PL provider can vary greatly. It depends on the nature of your business, volumes and requirements.
