Hi all

I currently use the free service on www.freeindex.co.uk to have a listing for my company. It's OK and I'm considering giving their paid service a go. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has used the paid service of www.freeindex.co.uk to promote their business and whether it was productive and helped your company or if didn't give a very good return versus the cost...

Personally, I wouldn't consider the free listing. There's a lot of ways your hard earned cash can help your traffic and rankings that will outperform this...

I am freeindex, and quote on the people's quote requests, but have never had any work from it yet.

I have been on there for 4 months, with nearly 30 reviews as well.

I have been using their free service for about 3 months and I had 6 visitors from their referral but non of the visitors bought anything .

That is still a lot better then other directories I use.

Ive been on there for maybe 6 months. I get the odd hit ive quoted on a few occasions. Ive had 1 call from someone who i couldnt help.

I'm on there but I've never had anything through it and the way they force you into a pre-defined description of your business just filling in words really annoys me.

I agree with what Glowbridge says about the pre-filled information. I haven't used the paid for service, but in a previous business, I got probably 25 jobs from 35 requests in a year or so.

I'd ensure your profile on there is top notch. Respond to the quote requests that land in your inbox and be active. Would have paid for it if I felt it had benefits but it probably just puts you at the top of the list for your industry and highlight your listing.

Havent been on there for long, but the main attraction for me was purely the review feature and being able to embed the reviews on your website. Adds that little bit more authority in your website.

i am using free and i have got response with in a weeks, that's may be because of type of business. you must check your site.
