Worldpay chip and pin exploded

Ok so today I receive my worldpay chip and pin device.

I plug in the usb charger plug for it and around 5 seconds later there is a massive bang and a giant flash.

It made me jump 10 feet in the air!

The usb plug now smells and has loads of rattling parts inside.

Has anybody else had this happen to them? they are obviously using cheap parts this could be dangerous!

Probably a similar USB charger I had for a miniature video camera.
The charger went pop and also took out the camera with the surge.

... but that is what you get when you buy a £8 video camera from China

Oh - and the case of the plug-in charger was blown off exposing live terminals in the electrical outlet...

There is a recall on the chargers. You shouldnt have been sent a faulty one but at least getting it replaced will be simple
