So what bets you all going for? First bet for me is a draw in the first game between South Africa Vs Mexico.
I also like the chances of Ivory Coast at 25/1 going each way
Also Fabiano is a good shot for the topscorer at 10's i reckon.

You might also be interested in a new bookies that I have on my site, Eurosportbet. You get £100 in free bets when you sign up and I've done a review here Eurosportbet . Might be good for some of you.

And dont worry, I wont be putting the jinx on England as I'm avoiding them with every bet:D

I only tend to bet on England games and only small amounts usually a couple of quid a game on a score and first scorer

Used to always be Scholes then was Beckham not sure this time around, would pick rooney but the odds will be terrible

These free bets are a bit of a fix really,

I think I will bet £50 on a treble,

but the 50 free bet im sure can only be used ona single?

I would have to pick a favourite and the possibility
of that £50 is it turns into 75 or 100,

I will have to have a think.

I would be wary of some of these european online bookies. I did arbitrage for a while so had a number of accounts, some of these took a year to get my money out.

I stick with betfair now, you typically get better odds and they are reputable.

I just had a look at befair:

Brazil 5.9
England 8.0

Are those comedy odds?

I don't want to sound anti-England - and I think they're in about the right rank in the betting - but how can people think they're 70% as likely to win the WC as Brazil?

(IMO Brazil and Spain are too long - they're the best teams by far - Argentina are about right (dark horse) - England way too short.)

I know exactly what you mean mate but these are bang on sound, I wouldnt of shared it with people if I thought they were crap.

And Steve, talking of odds I saw Germany and Italy 16/1 with one bookies, think it was paddy power but maybe wrong. Both steals at that price to me them pair

england have been truly awful in the last two friendlies....i know you cannot pin everything on a couple of games that were played under experimental circumstances and it is great that we managed to win both matches despite being pinned back by the opposition but you have to question some of the ratings for our players.

i regard Gerrard, John Terry and Wayne Rooney as very good international players, they just keep on fighting and have some passion in them..but the rest of the squad struggles to maintain consistency, they still lack the instinct to slam 4 goals past the opposition..they always leave it dangling for the last ten minutes.

maybe this year will be different but i'm not bothered, 2006 was our year, the year we could have actually won the competition, we had a strong team, the opposition left in the semi finals was beatable.

Both are offered here in Italy at 16/1. Which I believe it is smart ( from the bookies perspective... ) as the mirage of a lucrative winning will draw large sums on them.
IMHO they do not stand a chance. You might just as well pick Denmark or Switzerland at 200/1.
