everyone keeps banging on about wordpress and how easy it is to use, so i thought i'd go ahead and download/install it on a spare website that i've got. But, i can't get the darn thing to work, after initially failing to get it on the darn website i've now got to the database bit...but i've found the host can only give me a database for £199 a year
added to the £69 a year for the hosting
which works out expensive for a test.
so is this how everyone else does it? because its darn more expensive and complicated than i thought, i thought you just unpacked it, stuck it in the root folder and uploaded it..but you can't..you have to do some complicated trickery and a rain dance!
i might stick to my basic html, they may not be glossy websites but still..easy to do.
