Wordpress Plugin to capture email before ebook download

I have a Wordpress site. I want to offer visitors a downloadable ebook. However, l want to get some basic contact details in return (first name, last name, email address).

I was wondering if there is a plug-in l can use or how this can be done on Wordpress. I am willing to pay for something that works ideally something that integrates with MailChimp but this isn't essential.

Ideally, l want to stay away from pop-ups and just have a simple form on the right hand side of the page to capture the information l want and then unlock the ebook for the user to download once they have completed the form.

Hope this makes sense and someone can help. Thank you in advance.

Or you could use one of the many ebook download plugins and export the collected addresses to mailchimp. But the less plugins you use the lower the server load and the faster your site will be.

So I'd just use the thank you page for the link to your book.

Think l might go with the plugin, struggling to get the forms working as intended.

The general form option in Mailchimp works by adding the ebook URL to the sign-up thank you page.

However, l want it as an embedded form within a page. This only gives me a subscribe button in a form and there is no option to redirect to a sign-up thank you page.

Are you sure?

When I've use mailchimp before I just created a custom thank you page in my site and copied the UTL into the forms and response email dropdown (just like in the image on the link I posted)

All you then need to do is add the link to the ebook on that page.
