Interesting scenario just now, as the title says one of the category URLs is performing really well in SERPs and above the page targeting the same phrase.

Now, whilst that's all good for traffic it's bad for the reader. The category page simply shows all blog posts tagged with that category, normal as chips and gravy.

The issue I have is that in Posts>Categories I've added H2's and a bullt point list of internal links to direct the visitor to click next.
Let's say the Category reads something like:

H2 Geographical Area Target Google Search Phrase

Blah blah content blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
    • Click here to contact us -anchor text internal link
    • Click here to view past projects on our blog -anchor text internal link
    • Click here to see gallery images of products -anchor text internal link
    • Click here to read client testimonials -anchor text internal link
H2 Secondary Target Google Search Phrase

Blah blah bit more content, we are great, features and benefits, we cover XX areas geographically and were established with the dinosaurs trust us - we know what we are doing!

This content does not appear in the source code - this must be a theme option as I've got other clients which does display this Category content? Right?

Is there any way I can check this, check the theme settings to manually select "Show category contact" or something please?

All comment welcomed, thank you ladies and gents

It depends on the theme - some have this option some don't.

I've learned 2 new things today.
    1. A snib is a lock or latch on a key fitting
    2. Not all WP themes display Category descriptions and it doesn't appear in the source code
I had to guess that as the Categories display on my theme and 2 of my clients have the display visible too.

@fisicx any ideas how we can get static content to remain at the top of the Category pages so that it appears above, and all blog posts with the Category appear underneath (latest-oldest is currently default and I'm happy with that)?
