Can I ask why people say My Bad on the net instead of Me Bad :|

What does my bad or me bad mean anyway?

I can understand the words my bad as if someone was saying my bad finger but me bad could perhaps mean turned me bad if they ate some meat that was off and it made them bad but I don't understand this.

If someone knows they've posted something naughty then in the land of real they'd probably say something along the lines of "I've been bad", which I would translate to "Me Bad".....

But people say "My Bad" :| ...
