Anyone out there recommend a simply easy to use postcode shipping cost plugin thingie.

Sorry my brain is frazzled today!

My mother - bless her - had a store set up by some kind sole a while ago - and as she is now making money on it, wants to offer certain postcodes free shipping.

So does anyone know of one that works with Woo and doesn't take a lifetime to set up, or know of a good tutorial on youtube I can send her to? (Knowing full well, it will be me that has to eventually do it!)

Yes Woo does, but despite the videos and the long diatribes on the internet - they write it in double dutch or show it in gooblydigook - perhaps intentional to make you pay someone.

I had actually set it up correctly, but there was a cache issue which meant it didn't accept Zone 1 as free and still charged. So another plugin has been installed that wiped the error and bingo - it now works!

Hi Gillie,

I'd be careful which free plug-in you install. The one listed above has not been updated in 4 years, and no longer supported as this feature is built into WooCommerce. I would therefore recommend you try to follow the gooblydigook on the WooCommerce Docs support website for 'Setting up Shipping Zones'.

If a Zone isn't working then move it to the top of the Zones list. The first Zone to match the customer address is always used. If no custom zones match, then Locations not covered by your other zones is used.

Hope that helps.
