Bloody hard to believe when you bang on about Microsoft, Windows, Windows Phones and Nokia so much! I am suprised Bill Gates or Steven Elop have not phoned you up to offer you a job!

Are you sure your not Bill Gates love child?

I agree, every post you make is about Nokia or Windows, don't understand why you are so obsessed with them...

Windows Phone Store now has more than 120,000 apps. soon to have "46 of the top 50 apps that people use."

Yes but is it enough to make Android and iOS users switch? I'm a long time iOS user but have to say I will be getting a 920 as I fancy a change. What is scary is that I work with alot of devs who have android phones and they are bigger fanbois than apple lovers!

Windows phones can now offer the muscle behind a really robust OS designed specifically for touchscreen devices... this together with a good looking ad campaign should have Iphone and Samsung quaking in their (re)boots. (Ha Ha)

sounds like the iPhone 5 can't connect to the newest European networks, whereas Nokia Lumia 920 can, so that should help

That's just not accurate in any way... It has nothing to do with "newest European networks", in fact the one in that article, Stockholm is one of the oldest 4G networks (2009)!

Fact is that 4G can work on three different frequencies in Europe. in the UK EE has launched on 1800, which is what the iPhone5 uses. Given the iPhone 5 also supports HSPA+, even in places LTE isn't available on 1800mhz, fast download speeds can still be made available.

Other countries (including EU ones) currently operating on the 1800 band are Germany, UK, Australia, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore. More will be online soon.

The future of Windows Phone seems to be promising. It can even become a competitor for the main market players - iOS and Android. Considering the developing countries where people tend to buy less expensive devices, Windows Mobile can find a huge result_boxresult_boxunoccupied niche. Here are some good Windows Phone 8 reviews http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/29/windows-phone-8-review/ , http://gizmodo.com/windows-phone-8/ and also our own review you may find interesting http://mobidev.biz/blogs/windows_phone_8_review.html

personally, I think it's possible. some review sites are now saying, for example, the Nokia Lumia 920 is better than the iPhone

"Overall the Nokia Lumia 920 actually beats the iPhone 5 with five wins to two"

Even a Samsung Galaxy S3 beats an iPhone5 i doubt it can beat the S3

Up 300% comparable to what figure is the question you need to ask.
Everywhere I go - all I see are people using iPhones or Samsungs and after that blackberry. I'd be interested to know the Microsoft/Nokia real market share.
I'm on the look out for a smart phone with no sim - just so I can use skype round the house
