Why no business recycling facility?

I was surprised to find that my local council doesn't support any business recycling facility.

Is this the norm with other councils?

I just presumed that commercial waste would be split into general waste and recycling but the only bags they provide is for general waste with no facility at all for recycling.

That will be because the money that they charge businesses for disposal of trade waste is more important than recycling.

I know! £2.15 per bag with a minimum order of 52 bags... it will take me 5 years to use them as I'm mostly paperless lol

Recycling of material is costly than to make a fresh product. http://www.bishopsgate.co.uk/about-bishopsgate/social-responsibility/Companies which are small in scale do not wish to cut their profit rate as they are already struggling in the market to survive.

Its a con - full stop... if you only have a small amount of waste - take it home and put it in your own bin - you are not supposed to but there is no way I am going to pay 'twice' ! - we all pay enough in one tax or another !
