Why Cant I Buy Expired URL?

I have just found a URL I am interested in, which expired 21/09/12 - why is it still showing as 'taken'?

The article states the process until renewal takes 75 days - which is past this deadline, so I wonder if something else has changed?

I let one expire in Q1 2012 and they still say I can resurrect it for a couple of quid over the regular price. It is still listed as mine on Whois etc.

The whole process is 92 days start to finish. This is what I have always found, on the 92nd day at some point it becomes available.

If it is a generally desirable domain then you might want to use a dropcatcher like www.caught.co.uk to try and secure it.

I once waited for a domain to drop and missed out on the day it dropped to somebody else, frustrating thing was they simply listed it for sales and wouldn't listen to anything less than £2,000, it wasn't that good!

Just down as expired at the moment....I think its good so I'll check out caught and keep my eyes peeled on 22nd!
