Who's learned (and what) from Dan Pink, Drew Houston, Elon Musk, Guy Kawasaki, Jim Collins, Keith Ferrazzi, Mark Cuban, Reid Hoffman, Seth Godin, Steven Covey, Steve Jobs, Tim Sanders, Tim Smit, Tom Peters, Warren Buffet, etcetera?

Personally I think they all MUST have been educated by the small group of very audible 'gurus' on UKBF before starting, otherwise how else would they have achieved such success? ;)

I don't recognise most of these names, for which I will do due penance, but in general what I have learned from successful people is that the secret of their success is... a secret, even to themselves. In a nutshell, it might be along the lines of positioning oneself to take advantage of luck, being able to recognise luck (or opportunity), and being a psychopath, all in varying proportions.

Anyway, I'm not going to learn it by reading books by or about them.

I don't recognise some of those names but others I do.
Steve Jobs - design, presentation, networking.
Elon Musk - advertising and pre ordering

Oh and Steven Covey, do you mean Stephen Covey?

Most of that list do not seem to be proper business people at all, but either dot-com adventurers that got lucky, or ghastly American motivational speakers who are in the bogus guru-consultant game.

Warren Buffet is a businessman. Steve Jobs was a businessman. Study their careers and learn.

Off the top of me 'ead (see what I did there?) - Karren Brady, Anita Roddick, some grocer's daughter from Grantham...

Oh yes, that last had so much political power she even had it when she was dead. According to those who were scared of her.

There's a Mrs Murray who has been quite influential, wrote a few books that kids like. For those who want to be a success in writing she is worth checking out under her professional name. Rowling.
