Who do you think is the best website hosting provider in Great Britain in 2021?
    1. Customer service
    2. Pricing
    3. Product range
    4. Security
    5. Value for money
I decided not to do a poll so as not to prejudice your answer

Specifically asking about limited companies headquartered in Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) and not the rest of the United Kingdom or British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies.
Excellent question! And the answer is simple: us!

    Paul.

    Politely disagree

    There's always a best
yes, best at different things, so realistically there can be many 'bests' :)

    Best support lousy limits
    Unlimited hosting lousy support
super expensive but fast with great support but out of the question for many small businesses due to cost, therefore they become NOT the best.

We then move on to server technology Windows v LAMP v Nginx etc

If I had to take a punt I'd say Siteground but they are not in 'Great Britain' which of course excludes Northern Ireland as they are part of the UK (playing semantics now LOL)

If I had to pick a UK host it would be Krystal hosting as they provide value quality support and are 100% renewable powered.

Recently they appear to have been 'monetised- trying to slip in extras wherever possible I'll stick with them for now but no longer recommend them

Possibly something to do with them being taken over two years ago by a much bigger business? Probably management needing to show investors that they have a decent RoI on buying it.

I actually know who the best UK host is ( for me ) I spent a while investigating them, testing their support response, testing the loaded speed, testing their security, checking their technology stack etc. to come to my conclusion.

Unfortunately I'm not going to tell you who they are, because my needs are different to yours. However, if you want to pay me ( rates starting from £200+VAT per hour ), I'll happily analyse your requirements and identify the 'best' host for you.

I'd be interested to know if, in three months time, you've had any organic search traffic to this thread?
This site gets a LOT of organic search traffic every day for all the questions asked on here over the last 18 years since the site was created.

Search for this: who is britain's best hosting company

This thread is 1st on Bing, 3rd on Google
The best searches are long tail. It usually means someone is searching for something very specific. If they land on your site the chances of conversion are much higher.

@Ozzy, maybe you could add a button after the last post on each page: ‘Join UKBF to contribute to this discussion’.

There is, but it could be better and it is being changed along with fixing the issue that the page goes completely white when you click on that button, with no indication you need to scroll up to the top of the page to actually join or login....

Haven’t logged out of UKBF since 2006 so that’s probably why I haven’t seen it.
