Which website host?

    Dear All,

    Can anyone recommend a cost efficient, reliable, and professional web site host for a small business (if there is such a thing! i appreciate it's like asking for the highest quality at the cheapest price lol). I have Google'd and seem to get mixed reviews on most hosts, there doesn't seem to be any clear winners.

    I would be grateful to hear of your experiences, who you are with, who you have been with, who to avoid etc. I'm not sure how much to expect to pay nowadays for a hosting fee (per month or annum?) and cost of a .co.uk name and .com (we want to buy both as they're available).

    I have to say that although I've not signed up with them yet ( I will do this week) Vidahost have already impressed me with their prompt, friendly and flexible attitude after I contacted them about something the other day. I know others on here like them too.

    99p per month or £9.99 per year - or maybe even £7.99 per year. Full control panel, unlimited emails, fantastic support, especially for the likes of me who struggle with things like uploading websites via FTP for the first time. I can't recommend them enough and I wont go anywhere else.

    Vidahost get my vote, I have been using them for my site for almost 2 years and the service has been amazing!

    The support is by far the best I have had from a hosting company.

    Servers are UK Based and they have any automatic backup facility so your data is safe :)
