Which plugin for Wordpress (E-commerce)

Which plugin would you recommend to add e-commerce to the wp?

WC with plugins on tiop is perfect for physical products. Once you go over a large number 500 ish, WC may be a little clunky.

I don't recommend WC for anything over 200 products which have variations (sizes / colours etc), or 500 "single" products.

Once you hit those kinda levels WP / Woo becomes clunky and needs some alterations made to speed it up, including caching, database cleansing and CDN's for product images.

Wordpress and WooCommerce for a small online shop, then going to Open Cart for a medium sized shop, then to Magento for anything over and above.... In that order.

Woocommerce. I had a shop with 1200 products and it was fine. Mind you I run my own servers and server side caching, not some pile them high / sell them cheap hosting (you know the one)

WooCommerce is extremely popular and relatively easy to set up. There are a large number of themes and plugins you can add to support your requirements. We have a free downloadable payment module for WooCommerce (for use with our Gateway). You could also consider ShopIntegrator ecommerce plugin for WordPress which can be used with any WordPress theme.

Woocommerce is the most widely used eCommerce plugin for Wordpress. I would reccomend it for their updates and the sheer volume of plugins and themes that are Woocommerce compatible.
