Hi guys
I'm on the verge of setting up an internet shop mainly selling virtual goods i.e. venue tickets for local events, discount vouchers for local business etc.
I have the domain name, the site and now i need a merchant account and payment gateaway.
So what does everyone recommend?
At the moment i am looking at PayPoint as they seem to be well priced and also offer an "all in" service i.e. merchant account with an added payment gateway which is very attractive!!
Am i getting this right? £15 a month plus 25p per transaction? and a £75 set up?
And i am also looking at WorldPay. They do seem a bit more expensive but they have been round for a long time so maybe alot more reliable, better customer service etc? i dont know.
Or should i go for HSBC Merchant Account (£200 set up, £20 a month plus what ever they charge per transaction) and then another company for payment gateaways? This methods seems to be more expensive and more hassle?
p.s. i definatly dont want to use PayPal! Even tho they are great and easy an everyone uses them, they scream out amature and doessn't look professional IMO.
please help!
thank you in advance
Tony
