Which is best web hosting which can support from 50k to 1 Lac monthly visitors?
Currently i am getting many times email like "You’ve reached or exceeded your resource limits."
Hi DavidJames
This message that you are getting is not one that is caused by your bandwidth usage, its caused by either CPU or Memory limits being reached repeatedly.
If it was due to bandwidth limits being reached, it would typically state "Bandwidth limit reached" or you should get warnings to let you know that you are approaching the limit, if it was bandwidth, but this one is not, its the servers physical resources that your hitting, such as CPU or Memory, or both to name a few.
The very first thing you should do is pickup the phone and have a chat with your web hosting provider to find out what is going on with your website, and what is causing your website to hit these limits, and also to find out exactly what the limits are.
We have seen this every now and then, a website goes nuts for no apparent reason, then when we telephone the customer (We don't wait for them to call us, we call them), we find out that they updated something or installed something new, and didn't secure it or it was coded terribly and is leaking memory or chomping CPU going round in circles and we can put a stop to it instantly.
It could very well just be something on your website that has malfunctioned, that you may not be aware of, and your web host can look at it directly, and your site resource usage history to determine when it started.
If your hosting plan was not sufficient enough, the emails you are getting would say things relating to space or bandwidth, not "Resource usage".
All of our servers send out these same emails and there are 3 types...
1. You are approaching your monthly bandwidth limit,
That email predicts if you will go over the limit and when and by how much.
2. Your account space is filling up, and has reached X of X amount, either upgrade the plan or remove some files.
3. You have reached your resource limit X number of times in the last 24hrs.
If you get number 3, you really should take a look at what's maxing out your website.
Simple things too like unprotected WordPress websites that get constantly battered by hackers trying to force their way in can drive up server loads (We provide a free WP Site tuneup and secure it for you very quickly if needed)
So, essentially, give your host a phone call and talk to them to find out what is causing your website to eat up these resources. They should totally be able to sit and have a chat with you about it and explain everything.
We use screen sharing for things like this to show and hopefully teach customers a bit about what's going on, so you may get lucky, they might find the problem is a simple fix.
I hope that was helpful and didn't bore you to sleep..
First sign of a problem, speak to your host
