I am looking to get some new business cards, and have narrowed it down to four designs.

So, which of the following cards do you prefer?

I like number 2 for a couple of reasons.

1. That shade of green is damn sexy.

2. I like the clock being at 8 o’clock, as it says you’re up and raring to go. The 10 o’clock ones say ‘give me an hour to have a cup of tea, catch up on the office gossip and have a gander on Facebook’ and the 2 o’clock one says ‘I’m clocking off and going down the pub’ :p

Some of the colours you've chosen will not be able to be read by someone who is colour blind.

:)

In fact, after a second look... you might find that none of the colour co-ordinations are suitable...

My wife's boss is red/green colour blind and he says he basically sees them as shades of grey. So, I think "2" in the above would be the least problematic.

However, from reading about it, many combinations would be problematic, depending on someone's colour vision deficiency (the correct term for colour blindness).

give him that webby - he may be interested in a new perspective... or he may already have some! You never know :)

I bought some for my Granddaughter in January this year... to see her face to realise that she's got the colours right was amazing and we was all really chuffed... :)

Yeah! Thanks for that.

No, I'm not going to blub. That was lovely, but... oh no, I'm welling up here (hand flapping in front of face)...;)

Seriously, that's so lovely. :)

The one thing that really confuses me though... is...

If you're colour blind, and you have been since birth... how on earth do you know what the colours are... she got every single colour correct once she was wearing the glasses... how on earth does that happen?!! o_Oo_O

Seriously, I believe our brain KNOWS what "green" is or "red", etc., but our eyes deceive us. We have some innate ability to understand "blue", but our eyes are showing us "grey".

We didn't have a colour TV until I was 14, but I could watch things like snooker, etc., without any problem, as I just learnt to differentiate between shades of grey.

But what tells us that is the colour when you've never seen the colour before?! o_O

Being colourblind doesn't necessarily mean that you see everything in black/white/grey. I've always been colourblind (as has my dad) and I see the world in full colour, but have difficulty in telling some colours apart (reds/greens/browns mainly).

Oh don't get me wrong, I know all about the differences in colourblindness :)

What I'm saying though is... what part of our brain kicks in, and tells us that RED is RED when we've never seen the colour before?... Like my Grandaughter in the Video above... she just blurted out all of the colours correctly while wearing the glasses we bought her... yet... she's never seen a colour... I asked her after the video, why she said specific colours without the glasses... (obviously she got them all wrong)... she said, I don't know... my head just said that was RED, pointed at the green pencil... but all I see is grey... daft mare then got emotional again... :D but when she was wearing the glasses... she said RED was RED and it was RED... (for example)... but she'd never seen RED before... if that makes sense?

You know what... it doesn't!! and that's what does my head in... LOL!
