Hello friends, please can I have your opinions on which advert is best for a magazine artwork?

    Thanks in advance!

From a marketing perspective they are both terrible. Unless of course you don't want people who see them to contact you; in that case, good job.
    Very constructive, thank you!

You asked which one was best, the answer is neither is best, they are both terrible in equal measures. If you wanted to know how to improve them, you should have asked that.

If a client came to you with those adverts, you'd tell them they are awful and that the response they would get would be poor. Take a step back and treat yourself as a client.

You are asking the question to the wrong audience. You will just get peoples emotional preferences on here
What i would do is use option 2 as i feel (emotional) this would work best for you....

However, what you should do is run them both dependant on magazine length and AB test them to see which one gets your the most interaction

My opinion on the matter isn't at all emotional, it's based on fact.

Like all the above - they are both pretty awful. There is no clear message in either. just a whole bunch of stuff bunched on randomly.

Which magazine? Who are you targeting? When do you plan to run the advert and for how long?
You will just get peoples emotional preferences on here
Nothing to do with my emotions, it's obvious why both will fail to convert.

    Number one, but.......

The Santa image is bigger than the products you are selling. BUY ANY TWO BANNERS etc., (the offer) is in no bigger font than the information about the construction and eyelets.

Your email is missing, your phone number and web address are too small, your location - if applicable to the publication - is non existent.

An advertisement is not about what a customer wants, it's about what you want to sell him ;)
Which of the three offers is it:
    £45 banners?
    Bespoke Banners with free design?
    Buy 2 get one free?

Or is this just a Christmas offer - if so what's the cut off date?

Nonsense. It’s about appealing to a target audience and mitigate no them to take action.

So you change the 3 banner offer to a one banner offer to 'appeal to a target audience' rather than sell a 3 banner deal as you've just bought 30 rolls of vinyl for half price?

Which of the three offers is it:
    £45 banners?
    Bespoke Banners with free design?
    Buy 2 get one free?

Or is this just a Christmas offer - if so what's the cut off date?

If you can't get from the ad the understanding that HFE Signs produce banners at offer prices that they will design and deliver, and don't have the nous to make an enquiry, your probably not in the market for a banner.

Perhaps there is no cut off date.

The only message it delivers effectively, is that HFE signs have nobody there who can design an effective advert. Both ads could be used as a pretty good 'what not to do' when designing an advert.

I'd love to see you re-work them both ;)

    Touche LOL :)

Payment in kind by way of giving you the opportunity to back up your statement by producing something better ;)

I sold advertising for many years and learnt over time that ads that shouldn't work do, and ads that should work, don't. I've yet to meet a marketing consultant who'd admit that to a customer. ;) A radio advert for a furniture showroom who's prices weren't cheap was voice overed by a girl in the office who sounded like a rough version of Sir Alan Sugar. It was painful to listen to but opened up a whole new customer base of people who'd thought they were overpriced and snobby. The marketing guys would have stuck with elegant ads in country magazines.

So I get next day delivery on the banners. How long do I have to wait for a pavement sign?

    How much is the discount?

Where exactly does it say on trustpilot you are number 1?

I went to the website and it says I buy one banner and get the second free. So that means I can use your special offer of a £24.99 banner get a extra discount and a free banner and free next day delivery!

The left one is good, in my opinion do away with the lady... increase the size of the banners in the middle to make up the entire width.

In the parcel label at the top remove the bottom line of text, swapping it out for "Buy 2 banner, get 1 free".

Below that where you've currently got your buy 2 get 1 free section, swap that out for "FREE Design - FREE Delivery"

Then at the bottom where you've got the weight and eyelet bit, swap that out for your call to action... such as Call today!... or visit www....

Hope this helps, try out a couple of variations with different designs until you're happy.

The photo looks like you have photoshopped the content onto the banner.

It says £45 + VAT but the site says from £138. But if I apply the discount code it should only be £40.50 + one free. That = two banners which means free next-day delivery

The whole thing just feels busy and amateurish. Why not pay someone who knows how to create an advert do it for you.

And there appears to be no time limit on the offer. So I can keep getting £40.50 banners plus one free for ever and ever.

    what for an 8ft x 3ft banner??
My mistake, I clicked on the wrong thing. The price is actually £6.96: https://www.hfe-signs.co.uk/pvc-banners.php

So that's two banners for £6.17 with free next day delivery.[/QUOTE]

You appear to have a chip on your shoulder don't you - not good for business.

I don't feel the need to explain this to you but for the benefit of other readers I will anyway:

    1) The 'from price' is what you quote above, this sets the lower limit for the calculator.
    2) The offer is buy 2 get 1 free (i.e. pay for 2 receive 3) Not buy 1 get 1 free. The site is being updated to do this automatically very soon, and yes, you do get free delivery and a free banner when paying for 2.

    Thanks for you non-constructive criticism

No, not got a chip on anything. I looked at the image then went to the site to see the deal.

if I misread things then it’s my mistake, but if I get it wrong then others may as well.

Still doesn’t change the fact that neither you or I are very good as advert design. I paid someone to do one for me and got far more leads than the one I did myself.
