For those of you who miss the old New Posts page; this is how you can use that feature here on the new platform.

Click on Recent Posts in the top sub-menu.
Then to the right of that you have the option to view the page as List or Card, choose List.
Then in the filter to the right tick Unread Content and click Save.

Now if you click on Set as Default next to where you clicked on List that will load this page as your first page you see every time you come back to the forums.

    I'm here all week...

Thanks Ozzy. The only problem is reading this thread there is no top sub-menu.

Or if you're on mobile the burger menu in the bottom right of your screen, and under Community.
    It says Forums not Community.

And I was referring to desktops. There is no sub menu except on the forum homepage.

Also worth noting on an iPhone the hamburger actives the iPhone navigation not the forum menu. That’s a function of an iPhone not a bug with UKBF

I can see the drop down on every page on a desktop - In the Community tab at the top
It says 'Forum' on my screen. And I agree it is there but @Ozzy said to look in the sub-menu which isn't.

<edit>Cleared cache it now says Community. But still no sub-menu.</edit>

The sub forum is only in the community

This makes sense though as why would you have a prominent recent post link when in other sections of the site?

The recent posts link is always there though in the other sections, just not as prominent (in the community tab at top of page)

Yes I know. But scroll up to the top of this page and it ain't there.

I can click on the Community to go back to the forum homepage and see the sub menu. But it's only visible on that page.

I'm talking about other pages in the community. Like this thread.

Not going to die in a ditch over this one but it maybe needs to be clear the recent posts is always a Menu option and a Sub-menu option on the forum homepage. People do get confused.

You can hover over the top Community tab, not the one in the sub menu
Yes you can and never had a problem with this. But if you have a community sub menu it should really display on all community pages. As the community range expands visitors should be able to see the options. It’s pretty much standard UI/UX worldwide.

    Hi Ozzy,

I followed the instructions above but this does not work for me.

When I come back to UKBF I still have to click on "Community", then on "Recent posts", then tick on "Unread posts".

It is as if the sequence above is not being saved.

Am I the only one experiencing this?

Just checking it isn't a privacy issue, are any cookies from this site being blocked? (do you have a privacy plugin or similar that could be blocking this, in Safari it flags that in the right of the address bar, don't know other browsers). A work around to rule this out could be adding ukbusinessforums.co.uk to your trusted sites.

    No, same here.

It sometimes seems to save that sequence as default, yet if I come back to it later (and/or logout and back in) I have to do it again. Seems like a lot of unnecessary clicks.

Okay, in that case it may very well be something to do with privacy, UKBF is on an 'allow' whitelist but I do block most other things.

No matter. I will try what @UrbanRetail suggested, thanks for that.

Okay so the URL to get straight to unread posts is the following

Anyone else who may have the same issue as me can bookmark it.

Thanks to @UrbanRetail for the idea.

Ive now found the “new posts” page, but why not make it a clickable link?

At the top of the page it says “new posts” but you can’t click it to refresh and go to the latest new posts. If I refresh the page, all it does it refresh that particular set of new posts, which were only new when I last visited.

I appreciate I’m not making myself very clear, but compared to the old site, or other forums I visit, I’m finding it harder to navigate directly to new posts

This is useful too but they're different: one gives you a preview of the OP, the other one doesn't.

The preview is still there, you have to hover over the post title to see it.

If you want to see the previews use the other link filter to unread and use the card layout

It doesn't show who last person who replied is though and displays differently on screen resolutions

You just need to experiment with the filters and layouts then save the one you like best

    You should see this;
    1639582550988.png

Which is identical to the list that @UrbanRetail posted although his goes to the old page which will ultimately redirect to this one. If you want to read the OP preview just click on the "Card" option in the top right.
Latest Activity does default to the Card view which is why you see the OP message as default.

By the way, the saving should now be fixed.
