Hi there,

I am getting some stickers printed to help promote my website and looking for some ideas on where I can suggest people sticking them without getting in trouble!

I am thinking of things like message boards, college message boards etc.

If anyone has any suggestions on where people could place stickers legally, that would be great!

Thanks

I understand it works well if you stick them on the side of a bus or stand on college green in Parliament Square with a great big plague and it should get on the telly . Failing that it may end up on channel 4 news at 7 PM :)

Stand with a great big plague and the hazmat suited police will arrest you.
For some reason they'd consider it bio-terrorism until the matter is cleared up 50 years later.

The stickers were just a way of helping spread the word of the website. I will be giving them away for people to hand out to their friends/family etc but just wondered where I can recommend people to use them/stick them. They are more of a promotional gift, I know they probably won't be that effective, but people like freebies!

If they stick them somewhere they shouldn't then you will be the one fined.

Really would not have said stickers were a good idea outside a trade event.

It’s far too random. Give them out and see what happens. But really you need to think about marketing in the context of who your target customer is, where they go and what they want

If your main customers are mums then you could look at handing them out outside the school or if it's a service that the school might support you could ask the schools whether they'd be happy to hand them out. My sons school only do email correspondence but they sometimes tag promotions on the end of newsletters, - but it would need to be something that benefited school community and not just an advert. The schools might have notice boards too, where you could post a leaflet.
