Where to find companies information (e.g. revenue)?

Hi guys,

Do you know how to get financial information on companies based either in the UK or USA or Italy? I would need actually just their last year revenue.

In the UK this information is unlikely to be available unless the company is a signficant one, turning over millions of pounds a year. Small companies here are only obliged to file a very minimal balance sheet at their year-end.

For listed companies the information is often available on their own website, or you can pay £1/company/year to download figures from Companies House.

companies only have to submit full accounts to Companies House when t/o is £5.4m (or therabouts).

Not usually, unless the company has T/O larger than £5 million. Small companies don't have to file P&L, so most choose not to.

If you go through a marketing data provider such as Corpdata they collect this manually via phone by asking the directors of the business what their turnover is so more data is available where none disclosed via companies house.

It's more expensive to buy but depends how important it is for you

Was looking more for free info.

I found about EDGAR (sec.gov/edgar/searchedgar/companysearch.html) for US companies. If you see in the companies submitted reports, there is the total sales of the year (not the revenue though).

Not sure if it is just for public companies though.
