Hi,
I've just finished writing an article about the benefits of a database over spreadsheets. However, since Google have changed their SEO ranking methods, I'm not really sure of where to post it online?
Which sites would you recommend for articles for small businesses and/or business software?
Many thanks,
Franc.

The better places to post articles are:

ezinearticles.com
articlesbase.com

buzzle.com
associatedcontent.com
suite101.com
goarticles.com
articlesnatch.com
articlealley.com
articledashboard.com
articlecity.com
isnare.com
articleblast.com
articlecube.com
a1articles.com
articletrader.com

The ones in bold are a must

Nooooo!

Post them on your own site. You get all the benefits.

If you really want to give it away only post to one place. Duplicating across multiple sites make the whole exercise pointless.

I only post articles here Wryte Stuff and often the content I supply is 100% unique to that site. I don't even duplicate it on my own site.

So far my content there has had 360,827 page views with160,286 of these being search engine referrals.

I used to submit to a few others, also with good success. But I feel one good site is enough with a few smaller, shorter related blog posts on similarly good ranking sites.

The bio links from the articles I don't believe do any good in terms of linky love, but the articles themselves do result in referrals to my site. But in all honesty there isn't enough value in this for me to say I do it for any other reason than I like doing it!

I like writing as much as tooning so when I feel like doing so I do.

To gain the most benefit from articles they do need to be on your own site. Build up a regular supply of niche content with great content specific titles and you're onto a winner.

If I place the articles on my own lower-ranking site, won't they just get lost in the crowd?

Yes. That's the problem with most article sites, they are so full of dross the gold gets lost.

Publish the articles on your own site. You get ranked, you get the visitors, you get the leads. What you can then do is rewrite and publish the alternate version on one article site.

ok, if you want to get the ultimate seo ranking benefit,I think you should post the original and quality content in your own blog post.then, spin it with several version and post the new article to top level article directories, like ezinearticles.com,articlesbase.com.,with your site link in the author bio box. thus, when someone re-post your article, then, it means you get a quality natural backlink.

Ignore my previous post - I didn't read yours properly!

If you post it on your own site and google thinks the article is useful then it can easily outrank all the article sites. If you then write and publish regular articles on your own site your authority will increase and your ranking will improve.

What you cannot be sure of is if people are actually searching for the topics you are writing about.
