I know exactly what logo I want. It is 3 letters, run together. Is there any free software that allows me to produce this? HHR with each upright fused to the next.

Knowing what you want is very different from learning a totally new piece of software and having the design skills to do it. It's simpler to find somebody = maybe a school/college 16 yr old who knows the software, and sit down with them and get them to manipulate the image until you like them, then buy them a pizza!

There are loads of decent designers on the ebay and other sites that charge between 5-20 pounds for a professional looking logo and I must say am impressed with their work on a project am trying to launch at the moment. do a simple ebay search for logo design and loads will come up.

Might be worth a bit of research into competitors before you decide. It's likely that the picture of the logo you have in your head is a combination of previous logos and iconography you've seen before. If you're using a free builder then create a number of designs and ask for feedback maybe?

logomakr could be a good option for you for a free depending on what you do etc. I have no experience with it but have heard it mentioned a few times now.
We are in the business of making logo's and we have a 20% promotion on at the moment as we have just launched but I understand not wanting to make that step yet of course getting the business off the ground should be you first port of call but if you need help in the future don't hesitate to drop us a message!

I really recommend canva for creating artwork. I'm a designer and I still use it because its such a no-brainer. Also, if you know how you want your logo to more or less look, you can try yourself in canva (though it is really better to use this for creating flyers and ads) or look on fiverr for someone to implement your logo for you for very little money (under a tenner usually).

A tool that is very beneficial for design aspects of a business, if you don't have significant knowledge in design and don't have photoshop is indeed Canva.

On here you will find loads of templates to create simple and professional looking imagery, a potential to make an eye catching flyer or logo? It's great for creating imagery for social media too.

There are lots of free images on this site you can use, however some do require a $1 payment, although you can upload your own images too so potentially you don't have to pay.

You can't order your designs from Canva (maybe a future potential of the business?) but you can download it into a high quality image format, then find a company you can order these from. It may well work out cheaper than designing it on a website you order from.

Paying a graphic designer £200 to design a logo that will make you stand out from your competition and make you look a 'professional outfit' is a small price to pay.

A logo and the professional image you present to your potential customers can make the difference between them picking up the phone and calling you ... or not.

Another £75 will get you a professionally designed leaflet.

It's a much better ROI in the longer term.

    Hi,

I have to agree with Paul, you could always sketch a rough idea of your logo and get a company to transform this into a vector version for you with some guidance, which will last you and become an identify for your brand. If your business name itself is strong then you don't need a logo, sometimes that can actually just waste time and money... Give me a PM if you wanted to discuss some choices.

Adobe CS2 is free. Just go to their website. Register as a customer and go to 'Other Downloads' and download CS2 Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. The rest ain't worth bothering with.

This is the 12-year-old package that Adobe is giving away to get you into the Creative Suite Family and also means that they no longer have to provide in-depth technical support for such as old product.

google free logo maker, however be warned most free logo websites allow you to create a nice logo from hundreds of templates but when you try saving it you realise its not free to keep lol so you have to pay between £30-£50. Personally I needed a logo done recently for a charity run, I posted job for graphic designer on a freelancer website, the budget was between £100-£300 we had a freelancer from India offer to do branding and logo for £60 he done it and results were excellent very pleased with his work so if your wanting high quality on a shoestring try this avenue.

My go-to design tool is also Canva! There are a lot of logo and flyers template to choose from. It's fairly easy to register and the site is very easy-to-use. I started out using their free templates but eventually, I learned how to create my own design using my own photos and concepts. Wonderful site/tool that helped me a lot when I first started to build my website/blog.
