Hello Business owners,
I believe driving traffic to your business is the most important thing,
I mean Product + traffic = winning!
How hard is it driving traffic to your business? On scale 1 to 10 ?
Also What ways do you get the traffic from?
Organic or solo ?
Are you struggling to get traffic?
How much time does it consume from your day, building that?

Happy to share some tips ?
You can pay $50 to get loads of traffic. It won't get you any leads but you will get lots of visitors.

On the other hand. Many business don't want lots of traffic. What they want is the right sort of traffic. A plumber for example may only needs one visitor per day if that visitor converts.

I'm unsure if it's channelling 'Yvettes-bridal-formal' or the 'Timecube'... Certainly quite 'traditional' formula.

To me it looks more like the "work from home and earn £5,000 a week with this weird trick" template.

Did you make it to the bottom of the page? I had to give up with scroll-cramp.

I think I used the scroll wheel as middle button and went to the end like that.

    Ozzy,

    Couple of things

    • Just tried accessing the pic attached in your post, I get an error (You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action) - is this intended?
    • More in general, are users (free or otherwise) able to upload pics from their PC onto UKBF?

Not everyone is able to attach images to posts, but everyone should be able to see them. I guess you couldn't - dear god again how many permission issues have I inherited in taking over these forums again . Another one for the to do list.

Verified members (who are Full Members and verified who they are) can attach images to posts, I believe although my confidence is permission groups is flaky right now o_O

Hi, a great way to drive traffic to your website or store is to run an email lead gen magnet to your social pages.

Give customers something in return for an email address such as a discount, free shipping, free product/service, etc.

You can then import the email addresses into an ESP and send valuable content to them with light pitches to your product/service range. Or if you want to go straight in with some heavy promo emails (They do work if positioned correctly)

I'm in the process of building a website, it's a few weeks old and is already showing now in customer searches, click-through rate is low so still a lot of work to do and honestly, if you're not on page 1 then there's no point because people rarely get past that these days. It's much easier if your business has a local target market though. However, if your website looks unprofessional and the info they seek is not immediately identifiable or accessible, the click-away speed is under 2 seconds.

This aside, some ways to get eyes on the prize ...
    • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Yes it is a real thing and yes it is still important (relating to another thread I read earlier). Optimize your website for search engines by using keywords, meta tags, alt tags for images, proper use of the H1 and H2 header tags etc. etc. etc. and a well-structured website.
    • Content Marketing: Create valuable and informative content, such as blog posts, infographics, and videos, that attract and engage your target audience.
    • Social Media Marketing: Share your content on social media platforms and engage with your followers to drive traffic to your website.
    • Email Marketing: Build an email list of subscribers and send them regular newsletters or promotions to drive traffic to your website.
    • Paid Advertising: Use paid advertising, such as Google Ads or Facebook Ads, to drive targeted traffic to your website.
    • Guest Blogging: Reach a new audience by guest posting on relevant websites and including a link back to your own site.
    • Influencer Marketing: Collaborate with influencers in your niche to reach their audience and drive traffic to your website.
    • Affiliate Marketing: Partner with other businesses to promote each other's products or services and drive traffic to your website.
    • Referral Traffic: Encourage your satisfied customers to refer others to your website through referral links or incentives.
All of which as others have said is mute if when they land on your site, it looks like (insert crude rhyming word here).

Driving traffic to a business can be challenging, but the effort required to do so varies depending on the business and the strategies used.

It can range anywhere from a 4 to an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10.

The key to success is not just driving traffic but having a solid sales funnel in place to convert cold visitors into hot customers.

That's where my agency can help, as we specialize in helping small businesses build effective sales funnels to generate traffic and maximize conversions.

It may take some time each day to build and maintain a sales funnel, but the payoff in increased traffic and sales can be well worth it.

There is no easy way to get lots of traffic that converts, that's a fact.
You need quality relevant content that helps or advises the customer as well as good SEO.
You can also drive traffic through social media posts and other ways but it takes time.
And avoid anyone who says they can get you to page 1 on Google in so many weeks.
Its nonsense, you need a good long-term strategy.
