I'm only really needing it for the very basics:
    Page ranking monitoring
    Indexed pages
    Search volume checking
    KW research analysis

You don’t need seo software for that. Your analytics and Google console gives you the important bits.

Search volume is meaningless, the only people who know the exact numbers are google and they aren’t telling.

As to KW research, is your site getting lots of traffic? If so then it means you are covering the important keywords.

Does Google analytics give page ranking?

Not Google analytics, Google Console. It shows me keywords and ranking. But I haven't looked at mine in ages. My analytics tells me I'm getting loads of visits from Google and I'm getting lots of conversions. I don't really care what they searched for.

1: For tracking keyword rankings here's a list of the Top 30 online tools - https://dynomapper.com/blog/21-sitemaps-and-seo/424-best-keyword-ranking-tool-for-seo
2: For 'indexed pages' you can use the "site" operator - here's a link that explains what they are and how to use them - https://ahrefs.com/blog/google-advanced-search-operators/#find-guest-posts
3: Search volume checking. Personally, I don't find search volume "meaningless" but I do believe that the data is massaged in a way that only benefits Google. People all want to rank on Google and for a long time Google has provided free search volume information to the masses via its own tool and via the mirroring of Google's data to outside third parties too. Most of the popular tools that check rankings also include search volume data, even the cheap as chips tools like SerpRobot.

SEMRush is a strong, reliable tool as is AHREFS, they'll both do exactly what you want.

    Hope that helps.
