What is the solution for my business?

I need to find a way to manage my customer orders and to give them proper support. I have a few websites and all the orders placed there also come to my gmail account. I have managed to bring all the website’s orders to one location to manage all the orders easily.

Now the business is expanding and i need chat support, people to pick incoming calls and support to handle orders and queries. I could have hired a person as well but this thing is 24/7 but it will add to my cost ( office expense, maintenance, salary). Plus i do not want to manage it all by myself as I want to concentrate on the main business and its expansion.

What should I do? Should i hire a call center company? What can be the risk involved there?

If you have any other suggestion, please share it with me.
Thanks,
Andrew

I second OLD BOY's comment with regards to the Philippines as my Business partner actually owns a sizeable Call centre operations there but he has given the local manager free choice on decision making and customers in the UK and USA and a newly acquired account in Australia have all been happy with choices made by the local manager and the agents and the pricing as Old boy has stated are very very cheap considering exchange rates, let me know if you want advice on out sourcing to the Philippines.

Old Boy where in the Philippines did you outsource to, the centre owned by my business partner is in Cebu? how much are you being charged as his always looking to undercut the competition as the Call centre is a small fraction of the income he makes from various other business ventures.

Suggestions seem good but I'm not sure if you are after more specific info?

There's lots of providers around to answer inbound calls for you (we do this from £15 pm including the first 15 calls) but depends what else you want the agency to do in terms of handling the enquiry to the amount of responsibility you will give and access to systems etc

One risk is finding the right kind of agency .. Not too small but probably not too big either :)

The question is - which queries you want to manage most - new or existing clients? If existing then maybe think of a CRM system with ticketing, so people can open tickets with their queries instead of calling you? Maybe just create alternative forms of contact that will be more manageable for you which will reduce the phone calls. Implementing some kind of automated system to handle orders can also be a good idea if you have a lot of them. There are many options to handle customer queries..
