Is it latin?? what is it and what does it mean???

You often see this on websites etc, especially examples

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, vix noster semper no, in eum tota alterum nusquam. Mei audiam delectus ne, no pri dicat soleat albucius, ne mea malis zril aeterno. No facete tacimates vis. Sed etiam reprehendunt at.
Ne pro novum decore ignota, lorem etiam mollis no per. Tibique referrentur eu mea, tantas contentiones quo in, est autem complectitur ea. Ex ius nibh facilis voluptatibus, ei his discere sententiae. An soleat platonem eum. Ea errem denique vis, ex inani corrumpit mea, eu mel modus legendos voluptatibus. In nam persius democritum.

Just one of those things that i've always wanted to find out :|

Its simply a very popular placeholder text. and sort of latin. but not completely

this is what wikipedia says about it:
In publishing and graphic design, lorem ipsum is placeholder text (filler text) commonly used to demonstrate the graphics elements of a document or visual presentation, such as font, typography, and layout. The lorem ipsum text is typically a section of a Latin text by Cicero with words altered, added and removed that make it nonsensical in meaning and not proper Latin. A close English translation of the words lorem ipsum might be "pain itself"

You see it on websites in areas where the developers have used it to check text layout and forgotten to remove it before publishing.

I have done this myself a few times. I once had a client calling me up to ask why there was Latin on his site. Woops!

We often use another dummy text which our graphic designer seems to prefer to lorem ipsum.

(The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog the quick. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.)

No idea where that comes from but its always his preferred dummy text.

As already said Lorem Ipsum is a placeholder text. Lorem Pixum has been developed for the same reason but is for use with pictures.

"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" in case you didn't already know is a "panagram" - a sentence that contains every letter of the alphabet atleast once.

It is leaned towards by a lot of graphic designers for short dummy titles and phrases as it appears as the English language whereas Lorem Ipsum is a set of a text that was developed to look like real words and sentences at a glance for dummy body text...

It's basically dummy content that is used to fill in space. "lorem ipsum" often arouses curiosity as to its meaning due to its resemblance with Latin, although it is not intended to have meaning. Where text is visible in a document, people tend to focus on the textual content rather than upon overall presentation, so publishers use lorem ipsum when displaying a typeface or design in order to direct the focus to presentation. "Lorem ipsum" also approximates a typical distribution of spaces in English

actually:

Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
