Currently, we have the client name, email, company, invoice number, project type, revenue, cost, profit, deposit, deposit paid, project start date, project end date, paid, description.
It's my way of tracking practically everything I need to know. If I design a brochure and get it printed on behalf of the client, I'd put £800 in revenue, £200 in cost, and £600 in profit for example. Deposit isn't always required so it's sometimes left empty. It also allows me to see whether someone has paid or not (there are red, yellow and green indicators).
I like using Excel, it's an easy spreadsheet that calculates everything for me at the end (revenue, profits etc). Lets me see what projects we do more than others etc.
I'm just wondering if there's a better way for me to do this, or anything I'm missing on the list?
