Nope. My plan has always been to work as little as possible.

Money has never been any sort of a goal nor has career growth.

Nope here too.
Money is a means to an end, never been a goal. Be nice to have 300 million quid but can do almost as much with less.

While I do have work goals they gave changed over the years and never involved career growth. They did involve skills.

All the time Rikki I don't know why people are so worried about it .
I don't really care I got what I need . There are things I want but to be honest I cant be assed to put the effort in to develop that profit to bring it on.
I'm not lazy but any stretch of the imagination I ran 5 miles at 5 this morning but some of us make none money things an importance .
I have a goal to run another marathon next year . Money cant buy that and when you have completed these races it Is set in stone in history and your record can never be taken away from you :)
My goal today As little hassle as possible with out me seeing the red mist .Make a little bit of money with very little effort as possible . Be finshed by 1630 or 5 pm That's all :)

I also think it maybe an age thing When you get older you lose your ambition but appreciate what you have

Thanks for your reply, Jeremy. I even smiled, when I was reading about your goal to run another marathon:) Even if I don't know you, I am really glad you have this aim.
How did you come to this? Or have you enjoyed the running from childhood?

So what is the goal then? Or you just enjoy the process of working? So, the goal is to get more and more enjoying in this?
I don't any other goal than to enjoy life. Work is just a means to earn enough to allow me to enjoy life. Ideally I wouldn't have to work at all. It that a goal? If so then that's mine.

In my 20's I planned to be a millionaire, when I became a father at 28 I re-assessed my goals and decided to be happy instead, if money came with it fine. My children and wife are my goals, to make them happy and hopefully well off.

As above, time is the only thing you are truly limited with, so try to use it wisely. I know some very rich friends and some very poor ones, money has little to do with happiness, but it makes being miserable a lot more comfortable.

Knowledge is everything to me. I could have my house taken--I could have my freedom taken--I can be beaten but the one thing that can never be taken from me is my knowledge. As a side note--Alzheimer's stay away from my memory because if I can't remember where I put my knowledge--Did I have any knowledge to begin with?.....hmmm

There are other things affecting memory than Alzheimers. Knowledge is easily lost with some illnesses.

Have you had such moment, when suddenly you realize that you have no idea, what's your final goal? I mean, of course, the career growth, money etc. But what for?o_O

Everyone, at one point in life had an idea, a mark. But when this “fine design” for your future does ultimately fail, you’re normally left with your question standing and it stays open for an unknown unlimited time.
