looking at it a 2nd time (10mins ago first time) I still think its non descript of the service its supposed to provide

nice logo but doesn't really say anything

mobile phon'ish, yep agree on that

speech marks do nowt for me, not same shape or size so cant really be compared, they dont stand out as a pair of speech marks signifying something

Don't like the colours at all. And like most of the others I have no idea what it's supposed to represent. I assume the name of the company is hello.

And if you put it on a business card or website banner the hello is going to look tiny.

That's what I see.

Well I really like it and got the speech marks instantly. I think it looks sophisticated and love the colours.

I didn't know there was a 'rule' that a logo HAS to let the customer know what the business does instantly.

E.g. Nike - if you didn't know who they were would you say - oh yeah they must sell trainers. Or Coca Cola - how does their logo signify fizzy drinks?

A few people have said it is too big so I have reduced it to 200px high. (Fairly usual for a banner and a letterhead, altho' a bit big still for some tastes).

For me the yellow inverted comma gets lost. The larger inverted comma looks like a mask, with the 'o' of hello acting as the eye. This reminds me of the drama masks used in theatre, not a concierge. There is also a resemblance to the Open University logo, again this doesn't shout concierge. Finally the word 'concierge' is difficult to make out at this size, which is not helped by it's vertical orientation or colour.

And, having a Paul Whitehead "you don't want to do it like that" moment; why are different fonts being used for the inverted commas? I would imagine using the same font would make them hang together better.

Just my 0.3 euro.

crikey....I must have missed something....

I see a door with a handle on it, and someone saying "hello" as they warmly welcome me.....by reaching for the handle to open the door...and the word concierge reinforces what I've just imagined

I wonder is that the impression you wanted??

One revision I would make is the blue/green panel on the right....I would make it a similar width as the panel on the left....or even just slightly wider....like a pair of similar sized twin doors....

sorry if I've gone off on the wrong tack here....

Just to clarify the whole of the blue area is not the logo. The hello is the logo and the spread shows how it might be used in circumtances. YOu wouldn't have the whole thing as the logo.

BTW Dawg - did you get my email?

Also - people are saying it doesn't resemble concierge - what does and do you think it is necessary. I mean it says concierge I hoped the logo would just give a taste of the personality of the company - IE friendly and approachable.

Fair point, and obviously it's not always the case that a logo communicates the business... but then does Hello Concierge have a multi-million dollar advertising budget to reinforce the brand?

Anyway I stand by my opinion that THIS logo doesn't tell me a lot about the business.
I do like the colour scheme though I think it's funky.
